ON THE CREATION OF THE BRANCH LABORATORY OF ANTIMONOPOLY AND PRICE REGULATION, REGULATION OF TRADE

Since January 2019, the Branch Laboratory of antimonopoly and price regulation, regulation in the field of trade (the Branch Laboratory), formed on the basis of the Belarusian State Economic University will start work. 

The Branch Laboratory is created for the purpose of carrying out scientific researches in the field of antimonopoly and price regulation and regulation in the field of trade, providing a strong scientific basis for decision-making on the most topical issues in these areas.

As the main activities of the Branch Laboratory are defined:

  • research of problems in the field of national and international competition law improvement, antimonopoly and price regulation;
  • research of problems in the field of national competition, antimonopoly, price and trade policy;
  • substantiation of priorities of antimonopoly regulation development in the Republic of Belarus.
     

Teachers, doctoral students, postgraduates, undergraduates, students, as well as employees of MART will be involved in the implementation of scientific research within the framework of the Branch Laboratory. On the one hand, it will provide deep scientific support for solving urgent problems in the field of antimonopoly and price regulation, regulation in the field of trade, and on the other hand – to strengthen the practical orientation of training.

The functioning of the Branch Laboratory will contribute to the development of new, scientifically based methods and tools for the implementation of antimonopoly and price policies, increase the competitiveness of both enterprises and the economy of the Republic of Belarus on the whole.
