On June 19, 2019, within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt A.F. Al-Sisi, the meeting of the co-chairs of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission: Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Koltovich and Minister of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amr Nassar was held at the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas: trade and investment, industry, IT-technologies, agriculture, tourism, etc. Separately, the Egyptian side noted the agreement reached on enhancing cooperation in the fields of culture and education.

At the meeting, particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the most important documents signed on June 18, 2019, defining the future vector of Belarusian-Egyptian cooperation: the Comprehensive Program (Road Map) for the development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2019-2020, as well as Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the establishment of the Belarus-Egypt Business Council.

A preliminary agreement was reached on holding the sixth meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission in Minsk in 2019, within the framework of which the first meeting of the established Business Cooperation Council is scheduled.
